Fantasy magic castle structure design.
No matter who you are, one of the best aspects of Disney is the food. With Mother’s Day quickly approaching, there’s no better way to celebrate than with a culinary adventure around the parks. From decadent desserts and gourmet meals to discovering hidden gems within the Happiest Place on Earth, it’s a fun way to treat any park-loving mom. There’s something for every budget and palette. Plus, there are many themed activities throughout the parks to enhance the Disney magic!
Snag A Resy For An Upscale Dining Experience
The Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the ultimate place of indulgence, with lavish amenities, a world-class spa, superior customer service, and a Michelin-starred restaurant: Victoria & Albert’s.

As if we needed another wow factor to love Disney, this prestigious culinary honor makes them the first and only theme park to hold such a title. They draw culinary inspiration from around the world to curate three tiers of tasting menus that change daily based on seasonal availability. This means your meal is always fresh, diverse, and innovative. There’s also an immaculate wine selection, with over 500 wines from 35 wine regions around the globe. Although kids aged ten and older can accompany their parents, this dining experience is a bit of a splurge, with pricing starting at about $300 per person sans wine selections. I recommend doing it without the kids.
Eat Around The World In Epcot
The annual festivals at Epcot are among my favorite events. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Epcot’s International Flower & Garden Festival. Moms will appreciate all the photo opportunities in front of the topiary displays scattered throughout the park (and the Mother’s Day-themed Magic Shots offered by Disney PhotoPass until May 11). However, I’m sure you already know the best part: indulging in food and drinks “around the world” at the various pavilions. While it may be nearly impossible to sample everything, with 180 featured dishes across 15 outdoor kitchens, there’s plenty to enjoy. The citrus blossom menu at The Odyssey boasts standout offerings like a rich lemon tart with lemon curd, blood orange fluid gel, aquafaba meringues, and raspberry powder. Additionally, a tangy orange-lemon smoothie is served in a souvenir “Orange Bird” Sipper. Don’t miss the heavenly citrus-baked Brie topped with orange-lemon marmalade and limoncello-macerated blueberries.
Festival Bites
While the food might draw you in, the nightly rock concerts by artists such as The Plain White T’s (performing until May 5) and Maverick City Music (performing May 11-12) are another reason to stick around. Your admission ticket covers either of the two shows each night.
Treat Mom To The Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Party
After an enjoyable and lengthy day at the parks, the highlight is the fantastic fireworks show. It truly stands out as one of the most breathtaking performances presented by the Disney team. Make a reservation for the Magic Kingdom Dessert Party for Mother’s Day. Guests can enjoy the fireworks lighting up the castle while savoring delicious treats.

Show Mom Fireworks At A Rooftop Cocktail Party
Guests attending the popular cocktail party at Disney’s Contemporary Resort can look forward to an array of music, food, and drinks. A diverse selection of dishes is available, including sushi, small bites from California Grill, and delicious desserts like petit fours. For mothers and other attendees, an open bar offers a variety of cocktails, mocktails, beers, and wines.
You won’t want to miss the incredible fireworks show in Magic Kingdom from a cozy private deck! It’s absolutely breathtaking and a memorable experience.
Weekends Are For Brunch
Saturdays, Sundays, and brunch naturally belong together, even in theme parks! Various spots offer a delightful Mother’s Day dining experience throughout the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. Whispering Canyon Cafe is stepping away from its typical bottomless skillets to present a special holiday brunch at the Wilderness Lodge. Choose from dishes like the brisket omelet, avocado toast, or homemade cheddar biscuits served with sausage gravy.
Character Dining
Character dining caters to more than just kids—it’s a delightful experience for the whole family. Another exciting dining choice at Wilderness Lodge is Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White. The dwarfs are an absolute hoot! We’ve visited this place around six times, and while we enjoy sampling new dishes, the mushroom bisque, Brother Grimm’s herb chicken, and poison apple remain favorites among my group.
Steak dinner at Steakhouse 71
Alternatively, you can dine at Steakhouse 71 in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, featuring a menu inspired by Walt Disney’s favorite dishes, such as French Onion Soup and prime rib hash. Their Mother’s Day brunch encompasses these classics and additional options, including a crab cake egg Benedict. For moms who enjoy a cocktail with their meals, elevate your drink experience with the Legacy Mimosa, crafted from Uncle Nearest whiskey, Grand Marnier, and Chateau St. Michelle sparkling wine. This will surely become your favorite menu choice.
Study At Sangria University
While it may not be a traditional university, class is definitely in session! Moms and their friends (this experience is for adults only) can dedicate an afternoon to learning about sangria. A sangria expert will introduce them to the various sangrias available at Three Bridges Bar and Grill. This includes tastings of each sangria along with appetizers, and concludes with a chance to create their own sangria!

A Lesson In Wine
With fewer than 300 master sommeliers worldwide, Disney proudly hosts one! During a 90-minute class, participants will engage in a “blind tasting” of six wines sourced from different regions around the globe, accompanied by an assortment of cheese and charcuterie hors d’oeuvres, all guided by the sommelier George Miliotes himself.

Other Unique Ways To Honor Mom At Disney
Whether it’s indulging in room upgrades or enjoying a rejuvenating spa visit at the Grand Floridian, or arriving in style in the charming Minnie Mouse vehicle, we all know that Moms are truly special and remarkable. There are endless ways to make them feel valued while exploring the parks together! If you’re looking for even more inspiration, take a peek at these other delightful ideas:
Happy mom and daughter on a walk
- Order a Mickey Mouse cake by adding it to any dinner reservation for tableside delivery. You can also have a special message engraved on the cake! Or, sign Mom up for a cake decorating class at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs led by one of their talented pastry chefs.
- Compose a Letter: Handwritten messages are regaining popularity and serve as cherished keepsakes for years. In Disney Springs, craft a heartfelt note to Mom using a plantable postcard that transforms into a lovely bouquet of flowers. Disney cast members will even mail the card at no cost!
- Schedule a Photo Session: We love capturing moments in various parks. Rather than simply visiting specific locations, why not arrange a private professional photo shoot?
