The metaverse is a concept that has been floating around ever since being formally introduced by Neal Stephenson’s 1992 novel Snow Crash. While some observers may have written it off as a pipe dream, the reality is that new technologies are bringing it ever closer to mainstream adoption.

In fact, it has been estimated that the market will be worth up to $54 billion by 2028. With this looming growth, the metaverse has the potential to reshape how office workers meet online, transform ordinary gaming experiences and create immersive job training tools, to name just a few of its possibilities.

Challenges In Testing Metaverse Applications

With the metaverse only recently emerging, there are big challenges in trying to test it. These challenges are not insurmountable, though. Let’s take a look at three of the biggest ones we face: hardware, UX and digital economies.
